FAQs

salon faqs albuquerque

Q?What if I forget to bring my gift certificate or promotional certificate?
A.

If your gift certificate was registered when purchased it should be under your name in your file, or we can look it up if you have the gift certificate number. If you do not have either of these then we will have to charge you full price. We can issue a “refund” when you bring your certificate in.

Promotional certificates are actually discounts and must be presented at time of check out in order to receive the discount. If you do not have it, then the discount CANNOT be applied, but you can bring it in for future use.

Q?Can I use my gift certificate if it is expired?
A.

We look at our gift certificate expiration dates as an encouragement date. We prefer you use them before they expire but we understand life happens and will accept them past the expiration date.

Q?How long should I wait to wash my hair after getting hair color?
A.

You can wash as soon as the following day. We recommend to shampoo with Color Conserve shampoo to prevent color from fading and to condition with Color Conserve conditioner to lock in color to resist fading.

Q?Why am I seeing more than one stylist for my hair service?
A.

At Casa Verde we are a team based salon, so you may be seeing multiple stylists during the different stages of your service to better accommodate your visit in a timely manner.

Q?Should I shampoo before a chemical service?
A.

No, shampooing your hair is not necessary. We also shampoo before our hair services (except updos) so that we can detox you with a professional detox shampoo to remove any dirt, product build-up, and oil. This ensures your hair will be ready for the hair color or highlighting service performed.

Q?Should I wash my hair before an updo?
A.

We recommend a day before the service. Day old hair is best for holding curls and your updo will last longer with dirty hair.

Q?Should I bring in pictures to my stylist?
A.

Yes! We LOVE pictures! It gives a us visual confirmation on what you you are wanting. Even a few pictures of what you don’t want help as well. Pictures are a great way to communicate what you do or do not want.

Q?How long should my hair be before body waxing?
A.

Your hair should be at least a 1/4-1/2 inch to ensure the hair is long enough for the wax to grab it. If you have been shaving, a minimum of 2 weeks worth of growth is about 1/4 inch.

Q?Should I take my make-up off before my facial?
A.

No, you do not need to. Your service will include a pre-cleanse to help loosen any make-up or dirt, a cleansing of the skin, as well as toning and moisturizer.

Q?Is it ok to tweeze my eyebrows in between waxes?
A.

No. For the best results, please allow your brows to grow between waxing. This ensures your hair is all on the same growth cycle and will give your brows a cleaner appearance.

Q?Can I receive a Brazilian wax service while on my period?
A.

It is up to each individual service provider. However, it may hurt more a week before and during your cycle. If it is your first time receiving a Brazilian wax we recommend that you wait until you are not on your cycle so that you will be less sensitive. Please be considerate and use appropriate feminine hygiene products,  such as a tampon or menstrual cup.

Q?Will I be presentable after my spa service?
A.

Your skin will be glowing and you feel relaxed. You may have oil in your hair and your make-up will have been removed during your facial. Your provider can do a quick 5 minute make-up touch-up on you before you leave. If time is available, we can add on a shampoo blow dry for $20.
