Don and Barb started their journey over 44 years ago. Don went to cosmetology school in 1966 and Barbara went in 1975.Early on, Don tested his skills competing in many competitions around the state. He won every competition and in doing so, was awarded the Sunshine Trophy, the most prestigious trophy awarded to cosmetologists at the time. Early on he would travel doing competitions in places like New York and L.A., but being a family man, he turned his focus to something more local. Barbara has always been an underlying part of the business. She has balanced work and family. Early on she was a stay at home mom doing the books and a few clients here and there. As the kids grew she built quite a clientele of her own.They are both starting a new phase of life.

Don is now semi-retired taking clients two days per week and helping out with the training of our staff, new and old. Barbara works a few days per week, taking clients and helping with the financial end of the business. Now they enjoy running the grandchildren around to practices, games and different events.

Their philosophy has always been, “Treat all of our guests and employees like family, work hard but enjoy life and always smile.”

When they are not behind the chair, Don enjoys fishing golfing and yoga. Barbara enjoys working out, baking and spending time with friends and family.

My professional experience includes my work for a large retail company in Las Vegas. During that time I also furthered my education until I ventured to Santa Monica for Vidal Sassoon Cutting training.

I am a stylist by trade, but my true passion is training and helping other’s grow to reach their full potential in their craft.

I am very thankful to work in a family business and be surrounded by such an amazing team!

Started in the salon industry in 1996 in Minnesota which carried multiple product lines, one of them being AVEDA. She moved back to New Mexico and has since worked in the salon industry. She is the Operations/Human Resource Manager at Casa Verde Spa. She loves the family dynamic, not only with the owners but with the entire team. She loves to spend time with her family, cooking, painting projects and camping

In 1996 a car accident led me to my true passion of health and well being. After my accident, I was in a lot of pain; I hated taking pain medication, so I started getting massage therapy, it helped me more than anything else and gave me my quality of life back. I was so excited about the benefits of massage, that in 1996 I changed my path, left college and went to New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. I am also a big believer in the benefits of nutrition and exercise, so I went back to school and completed my B.S. in Kinesiology, (Exercise Physiology) from U.N.L.V. in 2001. I worked at Treasure Island in Las Vegas for 7 years where I was the Lead Therapist, in that position I was able to train and learn from dozens of therapists from around the world. I believe that managing stress, staying active, and eating a healthful diet are the most effective ways to maintain a healthy body and mind. I look forward to helping you, whether it is a relaxing facial, a specific massage or a head to toe experience. I will also be doing fitness testing and nutritional counseling soon! My philosophy is, take care of your body and you will enjoy a much better quality of life.

In my spare time I coach my son’s baseball team, ride my bike and play golf.

Diane specializes in color, waxing, skin care, and Aveda. She has 3 years of cosmetology, and is also a certified color educator.

Her career philosophy is to be there before you are there. Diane has a great sense of humor and is a nurturing animal lover.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, attending music festivals, and just living.
